House Exchange UK

Are you looking for a council house exchange or a housing assoication house exchange? Looking for information on Right To Buy Mortgages? Are you looking to buy your council house? Looking to move to a different area? Need a bigger place? Or just looking to see what options are available?

There is so much information out there, that it would take ages just to find what you are looking for. So let us put you in touch with all the websites that will help you get what you need.

The sites below all deal with helping you advertise your council or housing association property, if you are looking to move to another area or a larger place. Be sure to bookmark us, as there are always new exchange sites every month.

Name: community Council House Exchange

Website: http://www.council-exchange.org.uk/

Cost: FREE (Premier subscription available)

Nice front end and shows promise. Free to use, but it is a forum based – nothing special, no database, not even part of the same site, and therefore difficult to search on. There is an option to become a premier member, but based on what we have seen, there is no need for that.

Name: Council House Exchange

Website: http://www.councilexchangesite.co.uk/

Cost: FREE

This one has a simple website design. But don't let that fool you. It has a searchable backend database, and because of the basic design, it's fast. It does what it says on the tin, and that's what you really need in an exchange site. It's free, but there is the option of having your advert listed at the top for £1.99. All in all, a good website that is well worth being listed on.

Name: ExUk Free House Exchanges

Website: http://www.exchangeuk.co.uk/

Cost: FREE

A fine example of a free house exchange website. Back End searchable database makes it easy to find the right property exchange. Great website design. Clean and clear lines. But be warned, - only a basic listing is free. If you want to add pictures, you will need to pay extra. Since the majority of people will only look at ads with pictures, having to pay extra does seem a bit unfair.

Name: House Exchange Direct

Website: http://www.houseexchange.org.uk/

Cost: £6.49 for 3 months subscription

House Exchange Direct is a service for social housing tenants looking to move. Excellent navigation. Clean and tidy. Costs £6.49 every three months to join, but is free is your landlord is already a member. Appears that only Housing Assoications are members, and there are only a couple of councils listed

Name: U-Exchange

Website: http://www.u-exchange.com/council-flat-exchange

Cost: £9.99

Site dealing with house exchanges on an international level. Excellent database – easy to use, and very clear. Price to list seems a little high, especially when there are Google adverts on the page, as well as a continuous ad for ukhomeswap.
